When your on a “eating plan” how often do you treat yourself?

Sweet Honey asked:

I say eating plan and not diet because diet sounds restrictive. How often do you allow yourself a treat (under 150cals, ex: frozen yogurt cone or 100cal snack) when eating right and working out. I don’t want to undo all that running on the treadmill.

    Need to lose weight?

If you count your calories and the amount you the whole day eat falls into somewhere between 1200 and 2000, depending on what else you do durring the day like walking you should be fine. The best way to do things is not diet all the sudden but simply make sure you don’t eat to much.

I normally eat something that my co-workers (who are mostly over weight) would call a treat, about once a day but because I count how much I eat and never eat more then what I burn off in a day then it doesn’t matter.

    How to Lose Weight

I would say about once a week because if your craving these foods/treats and you never ever have them, you may end up completely pigging out on an un-nutritious food one day and feeling guilty as the result. If you feel a craving come on more than once a week, go out and run for about 10 or 15 minutes. The craving will wear off.
