Do you think my diet will work (PLEASE INPUT)?

I am 5′4, female 230 pounds and seriously looking to lose weight now. Here is my plan.

1. Drink water (or cystal light)
2. Eat 2 meal replacement shakes (atkins)
3. If alcohol drink it with diet soda
4. Excercise 4 – 5 times a week 30 mins cardio or more.
5. For dinner or restaurants choose salads, soups
or other low carb low calorie stuff.
6. Do detox or other liquid fasting for 1-2 days a week.

PLEASE BE HONEST, I am not looking for a quick fix but I
got about 80 pounds I want to lose in the next year or
so.

DO YOU THINK MY DIET WILL WORK?

    Yes, it will work but you’re not doing your body any favors by fasting and then using calories for alcohol. Skip alcohol and pick veggies.

    Fastest Way to Lose Weight

    I don’t agree with the fasting. You need to retrain your eating habits to be sustainable after you lose the weight you want to lose or you will just put it back again.
    You would be better to eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables as your meals and snacks and always have some available . Little and often works better at keeping you energized and keeping hunger away.
    Exercise is the key and simple walking for 10 minutes at a time several times a day will help.
    You would need to walk at a reasonable pace and not just wander along.
    It is also a more sustainable way to deal with weight loss and with lifestyle change, to include exercise rather than ‘work out’.
    By all means think about what you choose when out, but if it is too boring you will never stick to it.

    water would be best, to keep your system flushed. Crystal light will only clog it with nutrasweet, which has been proven to be harmful. The exercise is the main factor here. 4-5 times at about 30 mins. sounds good. Fasting is awesome if you make minor changes between each fast, otherwise you will do more damage than help.

    80 lbs in one year is a great goal! thats only about 1 1/2 lbs a week. Not such a far fetched goal. Actually quite doable. You may want to take a multi-vitamin supplement. try and take one that provides foods for nutrition as well.

    Your diet does not seem to contain much fiber. that is critical for optimum health. On this kind of diet I don’t think you need any low carb help. If your gonna fast, I suggest you cut down on the alcolhol little by little after each 2 day fast.

    A great and super healthy shake for me is to put a frozen banana, 1 tbs almond butter, 1 serving sunflower seeds and some flax oil in a blender. I also add a few drops of liquid stevia. This stuff contains all kinds of nutrtion and essential fats.

    Fastest Way to Lose Weight

    dont go to a lot of restuants and soda is horrible, diet soda will be okay though i think. this should lsoe some weight. =) good luck
