which of these foods is best for weight loss, or best for maintaining my weight?

Jun W asked:

I need to have lunch and only have a few options, I could have some plain toast, some cereal, which is also plain with low fat milk, a tuna sandwich, or a bowl of rice. Which will have the smallest effect on my weight? as i am currently trying to loose some, also is there anything i can do while or with eating? such as drink green tea to increase metabolism? thanks

i’d say switch it up. don’t stick with just toast or cereal every lunch time. toast=not a balanced meal because it’s just carb. you need some fat, protein and fiber in your system as well.

how much of these foods you eat – or any sort of food for that matter – will determine the impact on your weight. ie you can say, have toast every lunch time but find that you’re not losing any weight because a) you’re not eating enough and your body is clawing onto all the calories you ingest because it’s in starvation mode or b) because you’re eating waaay too much toast.

if you’re really interested in losing weight, eat balanced, high fiber meals and exercise regularly. there are no short cuts to weight loss, and the “easier” methods usually leave you down, depressed, and not to mention, unhealthy. instant gratification isn’t all that it’s cut out to be. gluck!
