Not really… switching from white flour and wheat to things like whole grain, and eating fat-free dairy items, THAT will help.

Dairy is supposed to help weight loss and wheat helps because of the fiber. You want whole grain, not white bread/rice. Yet, the carbs in wheat can make you gain. So I don’t really know with the wheat. The fiber is good for digestion, but the carbs don’t help weight loss.

Yes it helps weight loss, but I don’t recommend it. The food pyramid exists for a reason: because we need all those food groups.
Although I applaud vegans and such, I personally don’t believe in cutting out any food groups. Cutting out wheat (although omitting refined wheats is good), you’re leaving out whole wheats and grain which contain fiber, which helps your digestive system. Fiber not only speeds up your metabolism, but it’s a slight appetite supressant. Also, have you heard of the Atkins diet? It’s a low carbohydrate diet. Yes, it helps you quickly lose weight, but again, no fiber, and once you eat something with carbs in it, your weight will shoot right back up, and then some. Also your blood sugar will plummit, so you won’t have any energy.
Dairy is a bit fatty, but products like yogurt and milk you can make less fatty, with the same amount calcium, which women especially need for their bones. 1 in 2 women over the age of 50 develop bone problems. Calcium helps the bone from getting brittle. I personally have smoothies with lowfat yogurt, and a certain brand of milk which is lowfat and they put omega3s in it. Also, drinking a glass of milk everyday has been suggested to help trim your waistline.

DAIRY –
As for dairy it is designed to make small baby cows into big cows in 30days. It will also make small people into big people.
Take a look at the majority of the dairy products and their calories / cholesterol. They are high fat and high in calories.
The reason people think milk is good is because the dairy industry pays million and millions a year to convince you it is good. The bad out weighs the good.
As mammals we are the only ones that drink dairy as adults. No other creature drinks milk once its older. Why? because milk is for babies.
As humans get older they produce less and less of enzyme lactase which is used to digest milk. Why? because we should not need it.
many people who think they have stomach issues such as, gas, bad breath, constipation, the runs, irritable boil syndrome are actually lactose intolerant.
I drink a small amount of non-fat with cereal but that is it. Milk is for babies.
need calcium? drink OJ fortified with calcium.
BREADS –
breads found in the grociery store….even wheat are just crap. The only place to actually buy REAL wheat bread is a health food store.
I eat breads but on a limited bases. Breads turn to suger and if not used then fat.
Just keep track of your calorie intake and you can eat breads.
The food pyrimid is bought and paid for by industry. If it where true why arnt fruits and vegitables #1???
There is one way to lose weight and it aint tricking your body. It is diet and excersize. Count the calories you eat and eat those things that help your body. fruits and vegies good, zingers and donuts bad.
