Spicy foods, in many cases do speed up your metabolism. And really spicy foods that make you jump around from the kick in your mouth are good exercise. :)

Indian food that is spicy but does not have tons of calories, is a very healthy option.

A lot of fast food joints that offer spicy foods will make you gain weight, so avoid these places.

    Exercise and Weight Loss

not necessarily – the sweat produced by eating spicy food is the reason some people relate it to increased metabolism. if you want to increase it, exercise.

Spicy foods usually contain capsicum which is what makes them hot. Hot foods somewhat aid your body in the burning of fats and proteins but like the guy (Bill) above me said… not really enough to matter or make very much of a difference at all.

The only combination of things that actually aids your body in the burning of calories and fat… is Diet and motion. Cardio, exersize, pilates machines… that sort of thing.
