i’m doing a life science prject(freshman) and i need more info about the biological parts of a vegetarian diet. i myself am a vegetarian so this is also helful for me. THANKS!

    b12, but the idea of nutrition is very controversial.

    the main claim is that b12 is only obtained through eating meat, but some say that b12 can be stored in the body for many years.

    vegetarians diet shouldn’t lack any nutrients. there is b12 in dairy and eggs. if all you eat is fast food you are going to be deficient in some nutrients no matter what diet you practice.

    If you eat correctly then nothing is lacking. Protein from beans, nuts, etc. Iron from dark green vegetables, B-12 from dairy, Everything else from a variety of fruits, veggies, nuts, whole grains, etc.

    There is nothing in meat that cannot be obtained from a vegetarian source, therefore vegetarian diets lack no nutrients. A well balanced diet will give a person everything they need(omnivore or vegetarian)
